International film festival in Egypt

What makes a good film? Great story? Well-told atmosphere? Or maybe just something unique and cinematic? Entering the annual Film Festival circuit is a great way to discover new movies, and expand your filmgoing horizons. You’ll get a fresh perspective on world cinema, and you’ll meet some great people along the way.

A good festival will take you out of your usual routine, introducing you to new directors, or challenging your preconceptions about what kinds of films are acceptable. The smaller festivals are almost like living P.R. events for the directors and actors who appear there. Being exposed to different points of view can also make you a more rounded person – there are so many ways to enjoy a film, and many audiences have different tastes.

What to expect at a film festival?

There are many different types of festivals, but not all of them are alike. When you attend a film festival, you should be prepared for a very unique environment that is unlike anything else. During the week before the festival, you’ll be given a schedule of events to attend, and you’ll likely spend most of your time in the same places. You’ll go to the movies or watch movie on the event, eat a lot of interesting dishes, and take part in various activities. You’ll probably meet some great people, as well as some that you may not want to get in touch with again.
